In early 2011, Claire, our food editor revealed her top food trends for the year and some of the items at the top of her list included charcuterie, burgers and comfort food. Looking at the recipes that made our list, it’s clear that our audience is also in love with these cozy dishes and burgers (yes, quinoa counts).

Also, in October we featured 31 days of soup, slow-cooker and stew recipes and these dishes were among our most popular, proving that we’ve fallen in love (again) with our crock pots. Recipes like pulled pork, pot roast and baked beans, prepared in a slow-cooker mean we can have our comfort food and not have to slave over a hot oven. This is a trend we’ll gladly take with us into the new year.

Bon Appetit!
