The Guavaberry Colada and Bailey’s, Banana and Chocolate cocktail are two of the most popular drinks at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino in St. Maartin. Watch expert mixologist Sheryl make these delicious cocktails, and then try them at home!

Guavaberry Colada

3 oz *guavaberry liqueur
2 tsp (10 mL) sugar
2 oz Pina Colada mix
1 scoop of ice
Cinnamon
Pineapple wedge
Cherry

1. Combine sugar with 1 oz of guavaberry liqueur to rim the edge of a martini glass.
2. Blend 1 ½ oz guavaberry liqueur, Pina Colada mix and ice. Pour the ice mixture into the glass, leaving a centimetre of room around the edge. Create a peak the middle.
3. Pour the remainder of guavaberry liqueur around the peak and sprinkle with cinnamon. Garnish with pineapple wedge and a cherry.

*Guavaberry is a sweet liqueur made in St. Maartin and can be substituted with any flavoured liqueur such as cherry brandy, apricot brandy or pomegranate liqueur.

Sheryl’s Bailey’s, Banana and Chocolate cocktail

¾ oz Crème de Banane
¾ oz Amaretto
¾ oz Bailey’s
2 oz Pina Colada mix
1 scoop of ice
Chocolate syrup
Cinnamon
Pineapple wedge
Cherry

1. Blend Crème de Banane, Amaretto, Bailey’s, Pina Colada mix and ice.
2. Drizzle chocolate syrup in a figure-eight motion a few times around a small hurricane glass or any stylish cocktail glass.
3. Add blended ingredients to glass and sprinkle with cinnamon. Garnish with pineapple wedge and a cherry.
